About Leach Teaching Gardens

The Leach Teaching Gardens are named for our lead donors, Amy and Tim Leach, and comprise Phase I of The Gardens construction. We broke ground in June 2016 and opened The Gardens on June 15, 2018. With more than seven acres for both outdoor teaching and demonstrations, this area is one of the nation’s premier teaching gardens.

This group covers the other places people buy or arrange flowers and gifts: jewelry stores for engagement rings and anniversary gifts, grocery stores and supermarkets with floral departments and cut-flower buckets, hardware, home and pet stores that carry seasonal plants, and other local businesses that turned up next to florists on the map. College Station is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and College Station follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I enjoyed it so much. Has very accessible paths. Restrooms are available. Very peaceful if you come at right time of day. Location is maintained with new plants every couple months. Has events for the public.

Nice, pleasant stroll on the A&M campus. Visited before attending a night football game to get a little exercise and enjoy the beautiful weather.

This place is great at every season! If you’re a student on social media you’d be doing yourself an injustice if you don’t just come out here for their cute photo booths at every season.
